Hoya kentiana 'Variegata'

This striking trailing species is native to the Philippines, where it grows as a rainforest climbing epiphyte or lithophyte. It thrives in warm, humid conditions with bright, indirect light.

New growth has brilliant pink variegated leaves that fade to an inconsistent green-white variegation, creating an attractive umber effect. The long, slender leaves look like fingers creeping from a pot with no visible veining and a dark margin that develops a red hue if provided with enough light. Produces revolute and pubescent flowers measuring 0.6 inches; both corolla and corona are red, producing 20 flowers per umbel with sweet scent. Like most Hoyas it’s sweet, butterscotch like scent is most present in early evenings and nights. Ideal for hanging baskets where the elegant trailing stems can cascade freely.

Relatively easy to care for with similar needs as other Hoyas.

Care Requirements:

Typical variegated Hoya care. Very bright, indirect light.

Our Classic or Shaggy Aroid & Hoya Mix provides the ideal well-draining substrate.
Ideal temps are 65-85°F with humidity of 40-60% or higher. Does not do well in temperatures below 50°F. Water consistently with slight drying between waterings.
