This Hoya has hands down one of my favorite flowers in the whole genus! They are just incredibly beautiful.

Hoya meliflua is endemic to the Philippines where it can be found growing in mountain forest at around 1000-1200 meters above sea level.

It has very thick, long, deep green leaves and really striking, beautiful and unusual flowers.

The flower color and intensity is greatly affected by the amount of light it gets as the flowers develop. In brighter light it is very orange, lavender, and red. In less light it is more like a couple of shades of deep pink and some pale orange as you can see in the pictures.

It is easy to grow and a bit more forgiving than some less robust species.
