Hoya sp. 'Chicken Farm'

This distinctive species or hybrid comes from Sabah in Borneo, collected by Eva-Karin Wiberg in 1997. Originally from Tenom, Malaysia, it was discovered near a chicken farm, hence the name. Some sources suggest it may be a hybrid between H. finlaysonii and H. deykeae, while others think it’s a variant of Hoya finlaysonii. Like most Hoyas, it grows as an epiphytic climber in tropical forests.

Features elongated, lanceolate leaves with prominent dark green veins and silvery-grey and pink splotches resembling camouflage patterns, reaching up to 8 inches in length. Produces yellow or pink to reddish flowers with darker corona in fragrant clusters. It is suitable for training to climb or trailing from hanging baskets.
