Hoya coronaria is native to the mangrove swamps and lowland forests of much of South East Asia including, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Borneo.

It has lightly fuzzy foliage and 1 to 1.5 inch thick, waxy, weakly fragrant flowers. There are a few different color forms. Pink, Red, Yellow, White.

This is the Pink form. The flowers are pink and can have darker pink spots.

Hoya coronaria usually grows from the ground all the way up to the tree canopy and then sends growths hanging back down, often into much brighter light. It is from these growths that it blooms.
