Hoya mindorensis is a very rewarding Hoya to grow. It has thick waxy leaves which make it relatively easy to grow in varied conditions. It is native to the Philippines. It prefers typical Hoya conditions, high humidity, bright but not direct light for as close to 12 hours a day as you can give them. They flower best in high light which makes the leaves sun-stress very beautifully. The flower color is very variable. Both between varieties of the species and due to the amount of light that buds are exposed to while they grow. Flowers that grow exposed to higher light have more saturated and brighter color than those that grow in a shadier spot.
