This striking climbing species is a twining tropical epiphyte from Vietnam, where it grows as an epiphyte on trees in tropical rainforests. Being an epiphyte, Hoya crassipetiolata naturally grows on trees, absorbing moisture and nutrients from the air and rain running down the trees. Native to Southeast Asia, particularly found in regions like Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
The 'Splash' form is admired for its leathery, elongated leaves marked with irregular silver flecks that shimmer in the light. The elliptic leaves are glossy green with dark green veins throughout, creating a striking contrast with the silver splashing. Thick, pointed leaves measure 2.75-4.75 inches long.
