As the name suggests, Hoya bhutanica comes from Bhutan. Bhutan is located on the southern slopes of the eastern Himalayas, between China to the north and India to the south.

It is a wonderful, easy to grow species. The leaves are thick and strong with three prominent veins running the from petiole to tip. They will sun stress to a very impressive bright scarlet.

The flowers are fairly typical hoya flowers. Smallish, white, with pink to reddish pollinarium.

This is definitely a foliage lovers hoya!

Mildly fragrant. Fresh, general floral scent.
